This is surely the most time consuming, but also probably the most profitable and rewarding way of monetizing your pictures. We had no time to do this in the past, but will definitely go in this direction in the future!

Targets & Expectations
You should certainly give photography a good thought about before going on a Trip Around The World or a Long Term Trip. Above all, ask yourself two important questions:
First and foremost, what kind of photos do you want to bring back from such a trip? Continue Reading →
How About A Photography Class?

Gilles near View of the World (Malindidzimu), Cecil Rhodes’ Grave, Matopos or Matobo National Park, Zimbabwe, Africa
This is probably one of the biggest mistakes we made when preparing for our Trip Around The World in 2007 / 2008. We did not take any photo classes. Our photos would have been so much better, if we had understood some basics, kike how Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO and Focal length influence the final outcome of a photo. Afterwards, it is truly frustrating to realize how poor photos of spectacular motifs could have been easily avoided. Continue Reading →
Camera(s)
Once you have found the answer to what kind of photos do I want to bring back from such a trip, choosing the right cameras might become a rather long and painful process… We spent hours and hours looking for the right camera, and more often than not got completely contradictory information from various sources… Not to mention that qualified advice and counsel are the exception rather than the norm, even in specialized shops. Now things are different and we almost always have one with us while traveling. Continue Reading →

We spent two weeks in Iran in April 2014, and covered the cultural heartland of Iran: Shiraz, Isfahan, Na’In, Yazd, Kashan, Qom & last but not least Teheran. Due to the lack of time, we did not travel the north of the country, nor did we go to the deserts – Here you find a selection of 37 pictures from Iran
Ladakh – A Selection Of 40 Pictures

Ladakh is a high altitude desert, with once in a while small ribbons of green run down a slope, nourished by small stream running – Here Gangla Village, on the way from Leh to Khardung La, Ladakh, India
Ladakh – A mélange of mystic, ancient monasteries, breathtaking landscapes, remote and still partly untouched villages like Bodgang in Baltistan. The main outdoor attraction is trekking, anything from 1 to 23 day (treks), but also rafting on the Zanskar River. Ladakh has also become increasing popular for motor-bikers Continue Reading →
Oman – A Selection Of 36 Pictures
Oman is special. Where else on the Arabic Peninsula has some of the “Sinbad the Sailor” feeling survived? All in one country! – Here you find a selection of 36 pictures from Oman Continue Reading →
